Salesforce raises edition prices and pays you back in AI credits
Core goes to $195 and Advanced to $395 per user per month. Both now include Flex Credits, so part of your seat price is prepaid agent usage.
What happened
Salesforce launched new Core, Advanced, and Max editions for Agentforce Sales and Agentforce Service on September 3, 2026. Core costs $195 per user per month and includes 500,000 Flex Credits. Advanced costs $395 and includes 1 million. Max stays at $550 and includes 2.75 million.
CIO reported that Core replaces the $175 Enterprise edition and Advanced replaces the $350 Unlimited edition. Existing customers on legacy editions keep their current pricing. Salesforce says Max will later include an allocation for Headless 360 capacity.
What it means
Salesforce lists Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000, and a standard Agentforce action uses 20 credits. At list price, Max’s 2.75 million credits per org per year cover 137,500 standard actions. The bundle turns a seat price into a mix of license and prepaid consumption. Unused credits do not roll over, per Salesforce’s pricing FAQ.
Why it matters to you
For the CFO, a seat now carries two clocks, the subscription term and the credit burn. Analysts quoted by CIO warned that bundling cuts line-item visibility, and that most finance teams are still learning to forecast credit consumption. Read this with the agent-metering news two weeks later. Headless 360 is the same capability that outside-agent billing attaches to.
