Maxio sells billing, subscription management, revenue recognition, and SaaS metrics reporting to B2B SaaS and AI companies, from Atlanta. It says 2,000+ SaaS, AI, and subscription businesses use it (High, self-reported). On October 14, 2026, it launched Maxio AI with seven specialist agents that need a person’s approval for every action (High). Revenue and funding are not published in the sources read. The bottom line is a finance-first billing system that put agents inside its own data with tight approval rules.
Maxio says it has spent 15 years in billing, revenue recognition, and collections (High, self-reported). Wallets, launched September 23, 2026, tracks prepaid credits and AI tokens in one ledger. Taxwire now calculates US sales tax on Maxio invoices.
What does it sell?
Grow costs $599 a month for companies with up to $100,000 in monthly billings (High). Scale, above $100,000, is quote only. Every plan includes usage billing, subscription management, collections and dunning, and 20+ payment gateways. Maxio charges nothing extra for users or seats.
Scale adds advanced revenue recognition, A/R management, and financial reporting. Optional modules cover multi-entity, milestone billing, event-based billing, and EU hosting. Integrations include QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Pipedrive.
What does it ship for AI agents?
Shipped: seven agents named Close, Collections, Financial Analyst, Pricing, Order Processing, Utilization, and Sync (High). Collections ranks overdue accounts and drafts emails for approval. Sync finds broken integrations and re-runs them after a person approves the fix. Every figure comes from existing Maxio reports, and every action is logged with who approved it.
Absent: autonomous action. Maxio says nothing is written without approval, and customers decide how far each agent goes over time (High). The sources read show no MCP server and no AI price.
What does a buyer need to check?
Pricing for agents is not public. Buyers must ask whether Maxio AI is included in Grow and Scale or sold as an add-on. The launch release does not say.
Agents are new. Maxio AI launched three weeks before this teardown, and no named customer result appears in the sources read. The 250% ARR growth quote on the pricing page describes a customer’s business, not an agent outcome.
