Tabs is a billing and revenue platform that sells AI billing, collections and revenue recognition to B2B software and AI companies. Founded in 2023, it is VC-owned, with Lightspeed leading a $55M Series B in September 2025 for $91M+ in total. Revenue is not disclosed.
The company claimed 200+ customers and “$1 billion in annual invoice volume” (vendor-sourced, Medium, doubled from $500M+ within months). LinkedIn lists 51-200 employees (Aug 2026). On 2026-09-15 Tabs relaunched as “the first AI Operating System for Revenue,” built on its Commercial Graph. Bottom line: a well-funded AI-native billing vendor climbing from billing into collections and cash application, still software-only and Stripe-dependent, with momentum rising.
What does it sell?
Billing runs contract-driven invoicing for subscription, usage, hybrid and milestone pricing. Collections includes dunning, follow-ups and a payment portal. Cash application pulls bank transactions through Plaid and matches them. Revenue recognition automates ASC 606 journal entries. Embedded payments under the name “Tabs Pay” appear in October product material, a claim to verify against the Stripe-only history.
Integrations include NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and Rillet for ERP, Campfire and Rillet as GL partners, Salesforce, HubSpot, Avalara, Stripe and Plaid. No Oracle, SAP or Dynamics.
The target is B2B SaaS and AI companies in the US, with no multi-currency product evidence. Pricing is partly public. The Launch tier costs $2,000 a month, up to $5M customer revenue and 100 contracts, with AI included. Growth, Scale and Enterprise tiers are custom priced. Tabs owns no payment rails. Stripe processes and runs the portal. It markets nothing on cross-border, multi-entity, line-item disputes, e-invoicing mandates or vertical depth.
What does it ship for AI agents?
Shipped: the Contract Agent (Extract, Confirm, Run, with a human review step, now learning from reviewer corrections), the Collections Agent (August 2026, writes a summary and next step that the team reviews and approves, with AP-portal submission), the Revenue Agent for ASC 606, and an MCP server from April 2026 with 25 read-only tools over the Commercial Graph. Early access: the Smart AR Queue, claiming to automate “86% of inbound collections emails” (Medium, no published methodology). No AI model or architecture is named. This review reads the design as supervised extraction with human approval before action (Speculative).
What does a buyer need to check?
G2 shows 4.8 on about 85 to 95 reviews (Aug 2026), up from near zero in April 2026. Capterra has none. The top complaint is missing finance and accounting depth and product newness. Tabs has no analyst coverage.
Case study outcomes come from 50 to 100 person software companies: 87% aged AR reduction, 50% overdue reduction. HUMAN Security (Aug 2026) is the first mid-size enterprise reference. The published price ends at the Launch tier, so any company needing revenue recognition or a NetSuite sync lands in a sales conversation. Ownership stage is Series B.
