Stop-Conditions Library
The Stop-Conditions Library lists the rules that tell a revenue agent to halt, escalate or hand off to a person, each with the essay it comes from.
| Workflow | Trigger | Action | Rationale | Source essay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agent purchase | A price, item, or merchant falls outside the mandate the person approved | halt | The agent goes back for a new yes. The product team that set the mandate owns it, and a fresh passkey approval resumes it. | Stop Conditions Are the Product |
| AR collections chase | A customer disputes an invoice | hand off | The agent halts the chase and hands the thread to the dispute owner with the customer's words attached. A chase that emails through a dispute puts a wrong answer in writing. | Stop Conditions Are the Product |
| AR collections chase | A customer promises a payment date | halt | The agent records the date and resumes the chase only if the date passes without cash. The collector on that account owns it. | Stop Conditions Are the Product |
| AR collections chase | Cash lands short | escalate | The agent halts the full-balance chase until an analyst decides whether the gap is a deduction, a short pay, or a dispute. | Stop Conditions Are the Product |
| AR collections chase | The email to the contact bounces | hand off | The agent halts on that contact and hands off the search for the right one. | Stop Conditions Are the Product |
| Cash application | The amount differs by more than the set tolerance | escalate | The agent proposes the match only and an analyst approves it. The controller sets the tolerance. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | A short pay arrives with a stated reason | hand off | The agent applies the paid portion and codes the reason. The residual goes to the deductions owner. The AR lead owns the rule. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | A short pay arrives with no reason | escalate | The agent applies the paid portion or holds it unapplied while an analyst investigates. The AR lead owns the rule. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | The payment carries a deduction or dispute claim | hand off | The agent never accepts a deduction or writes off a balance. The deductions or disputes team decides. The controller sets the rule. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | The match falls below the confidence floor | escalate | The agent does not post. It assembles the case with the candidate invoices, the remittance, and the payer history, and an analyst decides. The controller sets the floor. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | The payer cannot be identified | escalate | The agent holds the cash unapplied or on account and never guesses a customer. An analyst identifies the customer. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | The remittance references a credit memo or prepayment | escalate | The agent proposes the application and an analyst approves it. The controller sets the rule. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
| Cash application | A posted receipt needs reversal or reapplication | escalate | The agent proposes the change and an analyst approves it. The controller sets the rule. | AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate |
How was this data gathered?
- Each row comes from one of two essays: "Stop Conditions Are the Product" and "AI Cash Application: What an Agent Can Post and What It Must Escalate".
- Halt means the agent stops and waits. Escalate means a person decides before the agent goes on. Hand off means a named owner takes the work.
- The rationale names the owner of the rule where the essay names one.
